#MSUrbanSTEM Fellows lead Chicago Public Schools Tech Talk 2018
#MSUrbanSTEM was well represented at this year’s Chicago Public School’s Tech Talk. The one day professional development event was held on Friday, April 13 at Schurz High School. Our very own Michael Kosko, Michael Kolody and Kasia Derza were all presenters at the annual event.
A love for technology integration was definitely shown as Michael Kosko led sessions titled Lights, Camera, Action, Simple robots and Google Classroom 101. Michael Kolody presented Three Tech Tools to Increase Engagement: Padlet, Screen-Cast-O-Matic and EdPuzzle. Teach Coding with Robots and Get Started With Code were led by Kasia Derza.
“Today was a really amazing day of learning and building connections with educators across the district. It started off with an amazing keynote from Dr. Nichole Pinkard from Northwestern University, the founder of YOUmedia and also played a key role in the recent partnership between Apple, Chicago Public Schools, and Northwestern,” Michael Kosko shared. Below is a two minute video highlighting some of the work done in his session. As always, we are so proud of our #MSUrbanSTEM fellows as they lead the way in 21st Century instruction.
